Since 2020, the Community Partnerships Program has delivered more than $5 million in funding to support more than 560 initiatives across the State's regional and remote communities. The Program provides funding support of up to $50,000 per partnership to organisations delivering health and wellbeing outcomes in communities within Horizon Power’s service area.

Horizon Power Executive General Manager Customer & Community, Darren Hill, emphasised the importance of connection and community spirit at the heart of Horizon Power’s mission.

“Our Community Partnerships Program is not just about investment; it’s about connection. Our Horizon Power team takes great pride in seeing the real-world difference we make together with our partners.”

Key highlights from the report:

  • The program strongly supported local communities with initiatives in the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Mid West, Goldfields and Esperance. In 2023/24, the Gascoyne and Mid West region notably received a record number of funding applications, highlighting the increasing demand and enthusiasm for local projects.
  • Over 100 initiatives supported community involvement, 69 initiatives directly boosted local economies by prioritising local suppliers, and 56 directly supported Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Additionally, projects dedicated to improving the environment received significant backing.
