Connect a new power supply
Request a new permanent or temporary connection (meter) for your building site. If you're connecting power to a property or block of land where there has never been a connection to the Horizon Power network before, you'll need to request a new connection.
Apply for a new meter
If you need a temporary power supply for your builder to carry out works, or a permanent supply to your new home, you'll need to install a meter so you can be billed for the electricity you use.To apply for a new meter, there must already be a connection to the electricity network available at the property, such as a service pillar (green dome). These are usually located just inside the property boundary.

This involves a pillar connected to our network and installed inside your property, close to the side and front boundaries.
